What Would You Do For Money?
Tell the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth?
Fox has a new show called Moment of Truth. Last night was devastating.
Watch and cringe:
And so justice (TV gameshow style, at least) seems to prevail.
Yet I can’t help wondering what would have happened if she had answered that final one truthfully and gone on.
I have a suspicion they might have been along these lines:
1) Have you even wished your husband was dead?
2) If you could get away with it, would you ever kill your husband ?
(Fox, however, says only: “Do you think you are your parents’ favorite child?” Yeah, right, Fox!)

Sick stuff! I remember a show with a similar premise being on ABC in the early 80s, right after That’s Incredible. There was no audience, just a black backdrop, a questioner, the polygraph and polygraph tester. I recall Ronald Reagan’s barber was on and he was asked if Reagan died his hair. The barber said no and apparently the polygraph showed no indication that he was lying. I also recall Melvin Dummar on there being asked if he had really picked up a hurt and disheveled Howard Hughes in the Nevada desert in the late 60s. I forget what the polygraph said about him. The show was soon canceled. And now I see Fox is living down to its execrable reputation. I hope they have one of the Bush twins on soon and ask if her daddy every boinked her. That would make for some good viewing.
