It’s taken me a long time to reach this awful conclusion.

No true American ever wants to entertain the thought that his country has been stolen from him.

Well, that theft has been underway and is now openly and flagrantly accelerating.

I’ve given this Administration the benefit of the doubt over and over. Given what I’ve just seen of their plans for the financial backbone of this country, that benefit of the doubt is no more.

Thus, it’s time for me — and you — to face this ugly fact:

Statin Drugs: More Fraud

Journal Issues Warning on Two Cholesterol Drugs

CHICAGO — Two widely prescribed cholesterol-lowering drugs, Vytorin and Zetia, may not work and should be used only as a last resort, The New England Journal of Medicine said in an editorial published on Sunday.

The journal’s conclusion came as doctors at a major cardiology conference in Chicago saw for the first time the full results of a two-year clinical trial that showed that the drugs failed to slow, and might have even sped up, the growth of fatty plaques in the arteries. Growth of those plaques is closely correlated with heart attacks and strokes.

My cardiologist just last week, after telling him I stopped Simvastatin, recommended Zetia!

I said No.

So OK then. That does it for me.

I will never again be on a cholesterol-lowering drug.

Not ever.

I stated earlier that I would be publishing my lipid test results for the past several years. I held up on that because I had a test recently, post-Simvastatin, and wanted to add that. I intend to post later this week.

“The manager comes by, the dishwashers come by, the waiters come by to say hi,” Diaz says. “The kid was like, ‘You know everybody here. Do you own this place?'”

“No, I just eat here a lot,” Diaz says he told the teen. “He says, ‘But you’re even nice to the dishwasher.'”

Diaz replied, “Well, haven’t you been taught you should be nice to everybody?”

“Yea, but I didn’t think people actually behaved that way,” the teen said.

You don’t see this appearing on your HDTV.

Walk. Take mass transit.

Throw out the HDTV. It’s worthless anyway.

One was missing a pick-up in the driveway; its screen door was left half-open, and there was a letter taped to the window. The Sheriff’s Notice of eviction. Another foreclosure.

God damn America.

I don’t believe in damnation, dammit.

Especially not on this earth.

One Child’s Unending Abuse – From Disney World Girl to Drifter

A lawyer who represented a young girl who was adopted from Russia by a Pennsylvania man and sexually abused and exploited for five years claims the girl’s new adoptive mother has physically abused and neglected her, including withholding important medical and psychiatric treatment that would help the young victim move forward in her life.

The attorney, James Marsh, of White Plains, New York, filed a notice of claim in the name of Masha Elizabeth Allen, demanding that Allegheny County, the county Office of Children, Youth and Family, the county Office of Human Services, the Families United Network, Inc., and various individuals associated with those groups, pay Masha up to $100 million in damages for placing her with her adoptive mother, known as Faith Allen. The notice of claim will preserve Masha’s right to sue the organizations and individuals any time until she is 21, according to Marsh.
