Graphics memory shared with system memory? Anyone want to comment on the possible performance impact of that? And how does that compare to the Asus EeePC, Everex Cloudbook, and hp Mini Note?

The Mini-Note shares system memory with video memory…but on a sliding scale:
512MB Sytem = 64MB Video
1GB = 128MB
2GB = 256MB
I’m pretty excited to see how the Atom processor really performs… and 6 hours of battery life??

>>>and 6 hours of battery life??
That trick is with the XP version of the Wind. It will ship with the 6-cell battery.
The Linux version will do 2.5 hours on the 3-cell battery it will ship with.
Wouldn’t dedicated video memory be faster?

What performance impact of shared ram? There isn’t a single budget laptop that doesn’t have shared graphics RAM today. If you want dedicated graphics RAM, go look around the market now and try to find something under $1000–you won’t find it.
