DreamWorks, Take Two

The Wall Street Journal broke the story, but Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood Daily is linkable:

DreamWorks Finds Indian Big Bucks To Exit Paramount & Form New Film Biz

I can confirm tonight that DreamWorks has secured $500 million to $600 million from India’s big entertainment conglomerate Reliance and then will add $500 million to $600 million in debt for what will be a total $1.2 billion financing for its new independent film company.

Emphasis added by me.

Foreign capital has always been eager to finance American entertainment productions.

I wish international funds would seek out and help to build a global ebook standard too!
