Three For The Victorians

Wow. Twitter is a great source of things. This is yet another from top_book:

THE STRING OF PEARLS [the original penny dreadful featuring SWEENEY TODD THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET, ed.]

Which also led me to: The Victorian Etexts site

This site gathers together copyright-free etexts of Victorian novels from the web, and allow you to search the full text for words or phrases. The etexts are very much ‘rough and ready’ documents to facilitate quick searching, and not definitive online editions (serious scholars are advised, in any case, to always refer to a good print edition).

And then to its keeper and writer Lee Jackson’s blog: The Cat’s Meat Shop
