Gasoline On November 2, 2008

I haven’t been recording this for quite some time.

Photo taken Sunday, October 26, 2008 with the Philips crapcam:

That’s what it was last weekend.

Yesterday, Saturday November 1, 2008, it was this:

(I had to lighten that pic considerably.)

And today, Sunday November 2, 2008, this is the price:

Cropping is bad, but it’s the only shot I could get.

Let me review all the times I’ve noted the price of gas (Super Unleaded/Premium):

March 15, 2008 – $3.61
May 18, 2008 – $4.25
May 21, 2008 – $4.31
May 26, 2008 – $4.39 (photos begin here)
May 31, 2008 – $4.39
June 8, 2008 – $4.43
June 12, 2008 – $4.51
June 21, 2008 – $4.53
June 28, 2008 – $4.57
July 3, 2008 – $4.59
July 9, 2008 – $4.63
July 27, 2008 – $4.59
July 31, 2008 – $4.53
August 8, 2008 – $4.49
August 13, 2008 – $4.39
August 16, 2008 – $4.35
August 17, 2008 – $4.25
August 21, 2008 $4.39
September 1, 2008 – $4.29
September 6, 2008 – $4.09
September 11, 2008 – $4.05
October 26, 2008: $3.29
November 1, 2008: $3.23
November 2, 2008: $3.09

Note that these are not the days the price changed. These are the days I happened to go by the stations. (There were some consecutive days I went, but not consistently, and I didn’t keep notes. I was interested in the trend.)

So when will I see a drop in food prices?!!?

Educate yourself!

Are you seeing any drop in food prices at the supermarket to go along with that?

No, not really, but I must confess that my wife does 95% of the grocery shopping. She hasn’t reported any difference.
